HLA Students to be inspired by the US Navy
Posted November 14th, 2013

We are excited to announce that the students and staff of Hope Learning Academy will continue their 4:8 "Learning Everywhere" Program when they visit the US Navy Base in San Diego, and the West Coast USN LCAC base near Oceanside on Thursday Nov. 15, 2013.  HLA Chief Business Officer Scott Mann, a retired officer of the Navy, arranged the experience. We will continue to update, parents, students, and staff as the experience continues to develop.

The LEARNING EVERYWHERE program is part of a strategy of Hope Learning Academy whereby at-risk youth are brought face to face with experiences that will engrave their lives with character, attainable dreams, and invaluable life lessons.  Instead of simply producing graduates who regurgitate material for tests, HLA graduates are taught to know real-world economics and critically think with the knowledge they get from their academic studies, but we don't stop there.  Students work on their lives to be great citizens, to have character and learn to harness opportunity... leaving behind whatever is in their past that earned them the title "at-risk"

WHERE: San Diego & Oceanside

WHEN: Thursday, November 14, 2013. Leaving and return times will be announced closer to the event
